The first full week of April is National Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week! Join GSA in celebrating graduate students here at UNCG with a calendar of events designed to promote and highlight graduate students’ important place in the university. In partnership with various campus departments, community partners, and employers, GSA will (co-)host multiple professional development and social opportunities throughout the week!
Learn Your Leadership Practice with UNCG Leadership and Civic Engagement! Grad students will learn and discuss their own leadership practices using the assessment Leadership Practices Inventory. We will discover what makes an exemplary leader and how we can elevate our leadership.

A workshop hosted by the UNCG Counseling Center in honor of Grad Student Appreciation Week. It can be a challenge to maintain work/life balance during graduate school. This workshop offers some ideas about how to develop and maintain that sense of holistic well-being while pursuing academic goals. This is a virtual event.

Come join us at The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN) for our Halloween in April Movie Night. We’re going to be watching Night of the Living Dead, a horror movie classic! Come and dress up in costumes, hang out with friends, and eat plenty of popcorn! It’s open to all Graduate Students at UNCG! Attendees can park in any of the lots outside of JSNN and should enter the main building (2907) where the round glass auditorium is.
